JoAnn specializes in individual, couples and family therapy, and maintains a private practice in Reno, Nevada.
With experience in education and special education, JoAnn has also been an elementary school guidance counselor and is now a marriage and family therapist. A graduate of the University of New England, specializing in Marriage and Family Therapy, she is currently a private practitioner working with a broad spectrum of clients. Among her areas of expertise are chronic trauma and couples therapy.

Dr. Baird is an interactive, psychodynamic therapist. Her therapeutic approach is to provide support and practical feedback to help clients effectively address personal life challenges. She integrates complementary methodologies and techniques to offer a highly personalized approach tailored to each client. With compassion and understanding, she works with each person to help them build on their strengths and attain the personal growth they are committed to accomplishing.
In the past five years Dr. Baird has attended the University of Nevada, Reno, and completed a research course in Marriage and Family Therapy through Northcentral University to assure that she is aware of all major evidence-based practices in her field.
License, Dr. Baird maintains a current license as a Nevada Marriage and Family Therapist.
